About the position

The Financial Analyst, Sales Incentive Compensation role at Lincoln Financial involves assisting with the preparation and analysis of sales incentive compensation payments. This position requires collaboration with various internal teams to ensure accurate processing and resolution of compensation-related inquiries while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive employee data.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data preparation for the monthly compensation cycle.
  • Perform complex calculations, analysis, and audits for sales incentive compensation payments.
  • Partner with Distribution, Finance, Revenue Reporting, IT, and other internal teams to resolve sales incentive compensation questions.
  • Analyze compensation reporting from various sources and validate data.
  • Follow established checks and internal controls to ensure accuracy of payments.
  • Communicate trends or issues to leadership.
  • Identify and lead process improvements for the sales incentive compensation team.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for strategic projects.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report on sales incentive compensation payments.
  • Collect and evaluate financial information for standard and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and collaborate with management for future solutions.
  • Create reporting enhancements using advanced Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • At least 3 years' experience in financial analysis and reporting or compensation.
  • Demonstrated adherence to strict confidentiality in prior roles.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and balance competing demands.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience working on baseline or strategic projects as a subject matter expert.
  • Strong communication skills and professional interaction with individuals regarding compensation.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
  • Desire to learn and grow in the position.
