About the position

The Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis position at Energy Transfer LP is a key role within a small team focused on forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing financial results related to the company's margin-generating activities. The role involves collaboration with various departments, including Commercial, Accounting, and Operations, to ensure accurate financial reporting and support joint venture financial reporting and budget presentations. The position is based in Dallas and requires strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the budget and forecast process for margin activities.
  • Prepare and participate in reporting monthly results to commercial and operational leadership.
  • Maintain a close productive relationship with commercial, accounting, and operations groups.
  • Prepare budgets and forecast information for delivery and presentation to joint venture partners.
  • Understand and evaluate the impact of changing market conditions that impact revenue.
  • Prepare Management Discussion and Analysis for inclusion in 10Q and 10K filings.
  • Prepare quarterly analysis reporting package for financial, commercial, and operational leadership in preparation for quarterly earnings calls.
  • Support the FP&A Manager and the Vice President of Finance in responding to requests from external joint venture partners.
  • Support the Corporate FP&A group in preparing presentations to investors and ratings agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written.
  • Strong Excel modeling skills.
  • Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience for Specialist/Analyst level.
  • 5-8 years of relevant job-related experience for Senior Specialist/Analyst level.
  • 8+ years of relevant job-related experience for Lead Specialist/Analyst level.

Nice-to-haves

  • Big 4 audit or consulting experience, preferably with exposure to the oil and gas industry.
