About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Copeland involves providing financial guidance and support to various departments within the organization, including IT, Finance, Marketing, and more. The role is based in Sidney, Ohio, and operates under the general guidance of the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). The analyst will be responsible for reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and process improvements, contributing to the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities

• Support accurate and timely reporting of headcount
• Assist in Workday improvements to automate reporting
• Provide monthly reports of Sales, General & Administrative (SG&A) expenses
• Assist with forecast, budget and account analysis of SG&A expenses
• Create and enter manual JVs for SG&A expenses
• Load the SG&A budget/forecast into Oracle general ledger software
• Participate in department and cross-functional projects and provide other ad-hoc analysis as needed
• Engage with the FP&A Team to implement process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Proficient Excel skills - linked spreadsheets, data downloads, complex formulas, pivot tables
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization to meet strict deadlines
• Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
