About the position

At Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee, we are looking for a dedicated Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is crucial in supporting the financial operations of our casino and hotel, which is known for its vibrant atmosphere and commitment to exceptional guest service. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Casino Accounting Manager, performing financial, operational, and technical analysis to help drive our business forward. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work with large datasets, as you will be responsible for querying and organizing data using tools such as Excel, Access, and SQL. You will also collaborate closely with the Marketing Department to assess the return on investment (ROI) for various events, including giveaways, concerts, and festivals. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will present your findings to the Executive team on a weekly basis. In addition to your analytical responsibilities, you will be expected to uphold the highest standards of compliance with company policies and regulations. This includes participating in training sessions, safety classes, and pre-shift meetings. You will also play a key role in promoting positive relations among team members and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities

• Abide by all Company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook and comply with all Company, Local, State, Federal and Tribal regulations relating to Health, Safety, and Operations.
• Successfully participate in and complete all training sessions, safety classes, pre-shift meetings, and/or certifications related to the position.
• Perform financial, operational, and technical analysis under the supervision of the Casino Accounting Manager.
• Utilize mid-to-expert experience in Excel, Access, and SQL to query and pull large amounts of data and organize it into report form for the Executive team.
• Work closely with the Marketing Department to create Post-Formas on Giveaways, Concerts, and Festivals to determine the ROI for each event.
• Present findings and reports to the Executive team on a weekly basis, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
• Promote positive public/team member relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
• 2-4 years of significant exposure in financial analysis in the casino/hotel industry.
• Ability to create programs in Excel and/or Access using SQL/VB code for easy report generation.
• Must be able to work independently while attending weekly meetings and presenting data to the Executive team.
• Ability to create ad hoc reports with limited notice and tight deadlines for all Departments.
• Willingness to learn Revenue Audit processes and serve as a backup in case of staffing conflicts.
• Strong commitment to exceeding position responsibilities and contributing to organizational goals.
• Professional demeanor with an outgoing personality.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the casino/hotel industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Revenue Audit processes is a plus.
