About the position

Raytheon has an opportunity available for an entry-level Financial Analyst who will help provide support of program, functional, centralized planning organizations, and accounting. Top candidates will raise the performance levels of those they work with by leveraging their knowledge to complete challenging and complex assignments in a team environment. Through timely and qualitative analysis, finance professionals are also expected to raise the performance of the business by providing the insight and information needed to make confident data-driven decisions. The role involves supporting a variety of investment reporting and variance analysis, understanding and performing analysis on the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), CY Forecast, and Long-Range Plan, and working with the leadership team on investment status and performance. Additionally, the analyst will provide various deliverables to Raytheon partners and handle various other ad-hoc requests.

Responsibilities

  • Support a variety of investment reporting and variance analysis.
  • Understand and perform analysis on the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), CY Forecast, and Long-Range Plan.
  • Work with leadership team on investment status and performance.
  • Provide various deliverables to Raytheon partners.
  • Handle various other ad-hoc requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math or related field.
  • Typically requires less than 2 years of applicable work experience.
  • Understanding of basic financial principles which include forecasting and/or budgeting.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Power Query / Power BI is a Plus.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail when preparing results.
  • Good organizational skills in leading/coordinating program personnel toward common finance goals by setting priorities and working within deadlines; ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to support the preparation and presentation of written briefs and summaries for internal communication.
  • Advanced excel skills (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, SUMIF, and Get & Transform).
