About the position

Spotify's Strategic Planning Finance group is looking for an exceptional Analyst to support various financial planning and analysis tasks. This role involves working closely with Managers and Senior Analysts to enhance Spotify's financial planning practices and contribute to the company's long-term financial strategy. The position offers a unique opportunity to learn about different aspects of Spotify's business while applying creative thinking to improve financial models and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly actuals-to-forecast variance analysis for new initiatives and identify actionable opportunities to improve business outcomes.
• Assist in delivering quarterly forecasts for Spotify's 30+ Legal Entities, collaborating with Accounting, Tax, and Treasury teams.
• Familiarize with Spotify's cloud infrastructure and analyze how activities and customer usage drive cloud costs.
• Leverage cloud cost datasets to support monthly variance analysis, quarterly forecasting, and ad hoc projects for cost efficiencies.
• Contribute to ad hoc analyses and business case modeling that support FP&A, Investor Relations, and overall business planning processes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant financial modeling experience in a complex and data-driven business environment.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Advanced MS Excel skills with a deep understanding of model architecture, formula efficiency, pivot tables, and macros.
• Experience with Tableau and SQL is a plus.
• Strong quantitative skills and the ability to drive projects from start to finish.
• Experience distilling complexity into articulate narratives for diverse audiences.
• Intellectual curiosity, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to learning and execution.
• Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and 'can-do' personality with a track record of nurturing strong cross-functional relationships.
