We Are Brookfield Properties: We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in New York, NY. As an FP&A Analyst, you will assist with monthly and quarterly forecasting, prepare financial analysis, market analysis, and board presentations for management review. You will analyze cash flow projection reports for existing properties and assist in the preparation of annual budgets, discounted cash flows, and valuation projections for the corporate business plan. Additionally, you will prepare quarterly leasing forecasts, which include updates of actual leasing activity, forecasted leasing assumptions, and early tenant expirations. You will also perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for management as needed, working closely with the accounting team during monthly close cycles to ensure accuracy. Coordination with asset management, lease administration, corporate services, marketing, and investor relations will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly forecasting
  • Preparation of financial analysis, market analysis, and board presentations for management review
  • Analyze cash flow projection reports for existing properties

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related major; accounting or finance degree a plus
  • 0-3 years experience in accounting and/or finance, ideally in the real estate industry
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Argus experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Yardi preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn new analytic and reporting systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
  • Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the real estate industry
  • Knowledge of Argus and Yardi software
