About the position

As an Analyst in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Comcast, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business development activities of the company. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and updating effective financial and operational information systems to meet current reporting needs and future enhancements. In this role, you will prepare detailed financial analyses, including Performa income statements and present/future value calculations, to provide management with insights into cost and revenue areas. Your ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion will be essential as you navigate significant financial matters. Regular attendance is expected, and you may need to work nights, weekends, or overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines and business needs. Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and updates effective financial and operational information systems to meet current reporting needs and future enhancements.
  • Analyzes the ongoing profitability of all new businesses and/or programs entered into by the Company.
  • Performs and critiques economic evaluation justifications for capital expenditures.
  • Prepares financial analysis using Performa income statements, present/future value and other calculations.
  • Provides management with information on all areas of cost and revenue, as requested.
  • Provides in-depth financial analysis of corporate projects and investments.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate financial data and make informed recommendations.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis techniques, including the use of Performa income statements and present/future value calculations.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to management and stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial reporting systems and tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the media and technology industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Comcast's products and services.
  • Knowledge of economic evaluation justifications for capital expenditures.
