About the position

The Analyst, FP&A position at Publicis Groupe involves supporting forecasting and financial analysis for the organization and its related business units. The role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting, assisting in budget creation, and providing insights to leadership through data analysis. The position requires collaboration with various departments to maintain financial accuracy and support strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Support business unit Finance Directors in creating regular financial forecasts in line with Publicis Groupe schedule.
  • Ensure accuracy of information in Groupe financial software (Hyperion Financial Management - HFM & Anaplan).
  • Develop expertise in financial software to regularly update data and distribute financial reports.
  • Share information to support strategic planning across Finance and other departments.
  • Partner with agency leadership to ensure smooth and timely completion of month-end deliverables.
  • Monthly reconciliation of actuals to ensure accuracy, provide variance commentary, and inform forecast.
  • Reporting of monthly results to finance and agency leadership.
  • Provide monthly reporting of G&A costs to budget holders across different departments.
  • Work across agency to get costs coded to proper account and budget.
  • Analyze actual costs to budget and understand variances and important drivers.
  • Support Finance and Executive leadership by compiling and analyzing data to create business insights.
  • Assist with presentations (charts, graphs, etc) of financial information to agency leadership.
  • Create reports to highlight trends and evaluate business performance against expectations and historical data.
  • Support agency leadership by providing data and analysis to solve business problems.
  • Extract and summarize data from Groupe financial software to assist leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 1+ years of work experience.
  • Strong technical skills, especially Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Comfortable digging through large volumes of reporting for key operational findings.
  • Ability to work with confidential information discreetly.
  • Ability to maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborate and work in a team environment.
