About the position

As an Analyst in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Comcast, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business development activities of the company. This position requires innovative problem-solving skills and a considerable initiative to analyze and evaluate various business developments and economic factors that impact the company's profitability. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and updating effective financial and operational information systems that meet current reporting needs and allow for future enhancements. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you assess the ongoing profitability of new businesses and programs, ensuring that the company makes informed decisions based on solid financial data. In this role, you will perform and critique economic evaluations for capital expenditures, preparing detailed financial analyses that include Performa income statements and present/future value calculations. You will provide management with comprehensive information regarding all areas of cost and revenue, enabling them to make strategic decisions. Your ability to conduct in-depth financial analysis of corporate projects and investments will be essential, as will your capacity to exercise independent judgment in significant matters. Regular attendance is expected, and you may need to work nights, weekends, or overtime as necessary to meet the demands of the role. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the dynamic nature of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and updates effective financial and operational information systems to meet current reporting needs and future enhancements.
  • Analyzes the ongoing profitability of all new businesses and/or programs entered into by the Company.
  • Performs and critiques economic evaluation justifications for capital expenditures.
  • Prepares financial analysis using Performa income statements, present/future value and other calculations.
  • Provides management with information on all areas of cost and revenue, as requested.
  • Provides in-depth financial analysis of corporate projects and investments.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial information effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
