About the position

As an Analyst in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Comcast, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business development activities of the company. This position requires innovative problem-solving skills and a considerable initiative to analyze and evaluate various business developments and economic factors. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and updating effective financial and operational information systems that meet current reporting needs and allow for future enhancements. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you assess the ongoing profitability of new businesses and programs that the company enters into, ensuring that all financial decisions are backed by solid economic evaluations. In this role, you will perform and critique economic evaluation justifications for capital expenditures, preparing detailed financial analyses using Performa income statements, present and future value calculations, and other financial metrics. You will provide management with comprehensive information on all areas of cost and revenue as requested, and conduct in-depth financial analyses of corporate projects and investments. The position requires a consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance, and you will be expected to maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary. Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and updates effective financial and operational information systems to meet current reporting needs and future enhancements.
  • Analyzes the ongoing profitability of all new businesses and/or programs entered into by the Company.
  • Performs and critiques economic evaluation justifications for capital expenditures.
  • Prepares financial analysis using Performa income statements, present/future value and other calculations.
  • Provides management with information on all areas of cost and revenue, as requested.
  • Provides in-depth financial analysis of corporate projects and investments.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance, and is able to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis or a related area.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement financial and operational information systems.
  • Experience in preparing financial analyses and economic evaluations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and software.
  • Strong communication skills to present financial information clearly.
