Analyst - Gas Supplier Services

About the position

The Analyst - Gas Supplier Services position at Avangrid Service Company is responsible for managing critical operational tasks to balance the wholesale gas market daily. This role involves using customized software to handle various responsibilities, including ESCO nominations, forecasts, billing, and reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with tariff requirements and addressing ESCO inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Runs forecasts, backcasts and settlement for gas customers, capacity releases, infield transfers, imbalance trading, daily metered customer switches, ESCO billing and reconciliation.
• Confirms ESCO nominations.
• Performs analysis required for responding to ESCO questions and/or concerns.
• Responsible for off-hour operations and ESCO operational issues.
• Supports regulatory compliance as required.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 5 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Retail Access gas programs and interstate pipelines.
• Experience with the gas pipeline bulletin boards: Dekaflow, Navigates, Empire, Link, Iroquois, etc.
• Analytical, mathematical, problem solving, and computer skills focusing on MS Excel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be available on-call.
• Able to work in a team oriented environment.
