About the position
The Analyst I - Business Analytics position at Ally Financial serves as an entry-level role for individuals looking to develop their skills in data analysis within the insurance sector. Responsibilities
- Apply logic and reasoning to analyze data quality from partner companies.
- Assist in PBI dashboard builds and background data aggregation.
- Support the dealer taxonomy project to sustain dealer code management across Ally Auto and Ally Insurance.
- Reconcile data from partner companies and evaluate differences for root cause analysis.
- Compile presentation materials in PowerPoint.
- Identify and define new process improvement opportunities to generate efficiencies.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain consolidation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Information Science, or a similar background required.
- 1+ years of Data and Business Analysis preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Programming proficiency in SQL or Python preferred.
- Data visualization experience with PBI or Tableau preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with data quality analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud-based tools and systems.
