This role involves working in a hybrid environment in San Antonio, TX, where the analyst will engage in incident detection and response, utilizing technical skills to manage and remediate security incidents in real-time. Responsibilities

• Exercise incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
• Perform basic malware analysis.
• Develop and improve processes for incident detection and the execution of countermeasures.
• Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to customer management.
• Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and other public speaking events.

Requirements

• Experience in incident handling, conducting or managing incident response for organizations.
• Background in computer forensic analysis using various forensic tools.
• Understanding of system internals for implementing countermeasures and remediation.
• Knowledge of network protocols and analysis tools for network forensic analysis.
• Ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis.
• Strong understanding of targeted attacks and ability to create remediation plans.
• Experience in network operations and secure network architecture.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET.
• Capable of completing technical tasks without supervision.
• Desire to grow and expand both technical and soft skills.
• Strong project management skills.
