The Analyst II at Eurofins Environment Testing is responsible for preparing and analyzing environmental samples using both standard and complex testing methodologies. This role requires adherence to scientific and environmental protection protocols in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America's Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures. The Analyst II will validate and review data for accuracy through Level I reviews and upload laboratory data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to generate data packages for clients. A comprehensive understanding of a broad range of laboratory testing equipment is essential, as the position requires the exercise of discretion and judgment in its operation. Key responsibilities include batching and prepping samples for analysis while considering special client and quality assurance requirements, making reagents for sample analysis, and aliquoting extracted samples to maximize laboratory productivity. The Analyst II will also prepare appropriate standards to ensure compliant data and determine the appropriate routine and complex analysis methods for a variety of organic and inorganic samples. The operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments are critical components of the role, along with maintaining logbooks and monitoring refrigerator temperatures. The Analyst II is expected to perform all job functions within Eurofins Environment Testing America’s environmental health and safety and quality assurance standards, maintain housekeeping standards for the work area, and manage inventory and stocking of laboratory supplies. In addition to primary responsibilities, the Analyst II may also order supplies, wash and inventory glassware, write Non-Conformance Reports (NCMs) for projects with quality assurance issues, purge analyzed samples, and assist in training new analysts on laboratory procedures. The position is full-time, with working hours from Tuesday to Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm, and training occurring Monday to Friday during the same hours.
