Analyst II, Finance

About the position

The American Red Cross Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is seeking a Financial Analyst. Duties include preparing and reviewing financial reports, providing financial analysis and contributing towards annual budgeting and forecasting process. The position must be able to perform assigned tasks independently and feel comfortable working in a team environment. This is a remote position based anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Generate monthly and ad-hoc reports to evaluate business performance results, including variance analysis and key drivers of performance for decision support and general business support as assigned.
• Participate in the annual budget process, including data analysis, entry, and validation.
• Participate in identifying opportunities to improve financial controls, procedures, and systems within area of responsibility.
• Interact and liaison with cross-functional groups to identify and resolve issues in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• A minimum of 4 years experience in financial management and analysis.
• Strong skills with various Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word) are essential.
• Experience using large scale automated financial systems (such as Oracle), planning tools (such as Hyperion), data warehouse and query tools (such as Business Objects/Webi) desired but not required.

Nice-to-haves

• Data Science certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience using Power BI is also preferred.
• Data Analytics experience.
• Alteryx experience.
• Advanced Excel desired.
