About the position

The Analyst II Forecast position at Ahold Delhaize USA involves managing system demand forecasts for a wide range of products across multiple stores. The role focuses on utilizing statistical-based forecasting tools to ensure accurate demand planning and inventory replenishment, while collaborating with various teams to optimize product movement and support vendor partnerships. This position is integral to maintaining forecast accuracy and improving supply chain efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage system demand forecasts for up to 10,000 SKUs across all stores.
• Ensure Forecast & Replenishment (F&R) system forecast accuracy for assigned product line.
• Use advanced statistical forecast accuracy analysis to reduce system errors and avoid manual forecast adjustments.
• Resolve forecasting exceptions and perform daily root cause analysis to improve forecast accuracy.
• Manage all Relex (F&R system) daily, weekly, monthly forecast workflows.
• Partner with In Stock Analysts and Demand System Specialists to align on trends and strategies.
• Provide forecasts to vendor partners, including the private brands team.
• Complete sales correction troubleshooting and analyze effective sales corrections.
• Collaborate with Category teams on ad promotions, special programs, and holidays.
• Review and troubleshoot baseline forecasts and BIAS for stores and distribution centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related business field or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 0-3 years of experience in demand management or related field.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Working knowledge of supply chain processes.
• Experience applying and developing statistical forecasts and demand forecasting.
