About the position
The Analyst II - IT Solution at The Venetian Las Vegas is responsible for providing on-call and system support for applications, working closely with business users and stakeholders to gather and define business and functional requirements. This role involves executing short-duration projects independently while maintaining expertise across application environments and ensuring stability and efficiency in IT solutions. The Analyst will engage in multiple initiatives, including application support and project management, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise for business functions or configuration of application systems environments in the VCR Application suite.
- Partner with the Product Management team to determine business requirements to address business opportunities or issues.
- Work with the Product Management team and vendors during the solution phase to support business requirements.
- Assist in project/effort modeling and sizing of solutions.
- Develop functional and technical specifications from business requirements.
- Create solutions involving systems development, process improvement, and strategic planning.
- Engage in multiple initiatives concurrently, including application support and project management.
- Work independently with users to define concepts under the direction of Project Managers and Product Managers.
- Continuously build knowledge of The Venetian Resort application suite.
- Provide L2 application and on-call support for The Venetian | The Palazzo application suite.
- Elicit requirements using various methods such as interviews and workshops.
- Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
- Proactively communicate with customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
- Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates.
- Collaborate with developers to establish technical vision and analyze tradeoffs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- 5 years of experience in business requirements gathering and definition.
- 3 years of experience in Information Technology or working with IT professionals.
- Experience in casino and hospitality applications preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in applicable application environments or expertise across functions.
- Strong analytical and product management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and customer service focus.
