About the position

In this role, you will lead the implementation of Process Improvement tools and methods, such as 5S, root cause analysis, six sigma, and time and motion studies, to eliminate losses within a Distribution Center. Utilizing the Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs, you will be responsible for delivering expected results in your functional area through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis and loss elimination strategies. Your efforts will focus on creating standard work processes to reduce variation and improve efficiency. You will assist area managers in reviewing and responding to process improvement projects, applying new network One Best Way playbooks, and providing valuable input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams regarding project ideation and replication opportunities. Your responsibilities will also include managing the execution of projects aimed at addressing top losses in your functional area, while building the capability of other area managers and associates. You will support area loss profile analysis and performance metrics, develop gap analyses to facilitate WPS integration, and assist Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, and KPI improvements. As a leader, you will promote and support company policies, initiatives, and standards of ethics and integrity, while coordinating job-related activities and assignments through effective relationship management with key stakeholders. In addition to your project management duties, you will provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. You will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, implementing action plans that align with the company's mission and values. Your role will also involve recognizing and addressing improvement opportunities, demonstrating adaptability, and promoting continuous learning within your team. Responsibilities

  • Lead Process Improvement tools and methods to eliminate losses in a Distribution Center.
  • Deliver expected functional area results through KPI analysis and loss elimination.
  • Create standard work to reduce process variation.
  • Assist with the review and response of process improvement projects owned by area managers.
  • Apply new network One Best Way playbooks and provide input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams.
  • Assist with the tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology.
  • Manage project execution of top losses in the functional area.
  • Support area loss profile analysis and performance metrics.
  • Develop gap analysis to support WPS integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or prior experience in Process Improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Co-Op/Internship in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Distribution with experience applying basic Lean/Continuous Improvement Tools.
