About the position

As an Analyst II, Quality Engineer in the Supply Chain team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. This position is designed for a motivated individual who is eager to contribute to our ongoing efforts in adopting automation and optimizing supply chain processes. You will have the opportunity to apply your engineering expertise to drive improvements that will significantly impact our First Time Quality metrics and reduce rework. Your work will be instrumental in shaping the future of retail through innovation and automation. In this role, you will identify and implement opportunities for defect reduction, waste elimination, and process improvement. You will lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvement initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance on process design and improvement. Utilizing statistical tools and methodologies, you will analyze data and perform root cause analysis to identify areas for optimization. Your expertise in industrial engineering techniques, such as time studies and motion analysis, will be essential in identifying opportunities for process optimization. Additionally, you will lead or support project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with various teams and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement opportunities for defect reduction, waste elimination, and process improvement to impact First Time Quality metrics and reduce rework.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance on process design and improvement.
  • Utilize statistical tools and methodologies to analyze data and perform root cause analysis.
  • Use industrial engineering techniques such as time studies, work measurement, and motion analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Lead or support project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with a Quality Management System.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Proficient in the use of process mapping, data analysis, and statistical tools (PowerBI, Tableau, BigQuery, Minitab).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality management systems.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or project management (e.g., PMP).

Nice-to-haves

  • Co-Op/Internship in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Distribution with experience applying basic Lean/Continuous Improvement Tools.
  • Possess applied knowledge of a functioning Quality Management System elements including Statistical Process Control, FMEA, Quality KPIs, etc.
