About the position

The Analyst II position within Retail Operations at Constellation is responsible for monitoring and executing day-to-day workflow activities, managing medium to complex exception handling activities, and ensuring service level agreements are met with both internal and external customers. This role requires becoming a subject matter expert in assigned business functions and collaborating with various teams to support changing business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and execute day-to-day workflow activities in Retail Operations.
  • Manage medium to complex exception handling activities while meeting service level agreements.
  • Become a subject matter expert in assigned business function areas.
  • Ensure operational excellence by managing data for competitive pricing and accurate billing.
  • Enroll customers with utilities to ensure power or gas availability.
  • Process contracts and confirmations to ensure SOX compliance.
  • Manage customer payments and ensure accurate posting of cash to accounts.
  • Address internal and external customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Communicate issues to team members and stakeholders, fostering collaboration.
  • Challenge the status quo to automate and improve processes through innovation.
  • Maintain understanding of business, contractual, regulatory, and market policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of work experience or 5+ years of relevant education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external parties.
  • Established analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service orientation for internal and external clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize a heavy workload.
  • Adaptability to changing markets, systems, and processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and suggest remediation actions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Technology, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Prior experience in the retail energy or regulated energy industry.
  • Experience using CRM and/or Order-to-Cash workflow systems in the retail energy industry.
  • Working knowledge of UDC/ISO/LDC market EDI transactions.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Access and/or SQL database query development.
