About the position

The Analyst II, Revenue Accounting position is responsible for supporting process improvements, metric/report design and development, special projects, and providing detailed revenue valuation analysis to achieve departmental goals. The analyst will utilize various technologies including MS Applications, SQL Server, SSIS, Oracle, VBA, and Tableau to support accounting processes related to revenue review, accounts receivable, cash analysis, account reconciliation, and financial reporting for management and audit agencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, design, modify, and develop recurring and ad-hoc financial schedules and revenue trends for management reporting using SQL/SSIS/MS Excel/MS Access.
• Manage data sources by identifying system and process opportunities and investigating data inconsistencies.
• Support and provide recommendations in all areas of the revenue cycle using business acumen and technical knowledge.
• Design and create tools and processes using Tableau/VBA/SQL/MS Access to assist the accounting team.
• Exercise sound judgment to develop and implement solutions for complex problems.
• Build strong relationships across departments and function effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferably in STEM, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Database and analysis experience with the ability to manipulate large volumes of data.
• Experience using SQL, SSIS, MS Access, and VBA (or other coding).
• Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant experience in healthcare revenue cycle.
• Working knowledge of accounting functions.
