About the position

As an Analyst III, Oracle Cloud Developer/Support, you will play a crucial role in the Finance Technology team at WM, a leading provider of waste and environmental services in North America. This experienced position is responsible for the configuration and support of software application systems within the Finance Organization. You will provide advanced technical, analytical, and consultative support to deliver Finance processes across multiple technologies, including Oracle, Coupa, Kyriba, Blackline, and OneStream. Your expertise will be essential in challenging existing solutions and providing technical input for digital and vendor support. In this role, you will review open cases and issues, troubleshooting or assigning them to other tech team members for resolution. You will coordinate with vendors regarding required support by opening tickets, escalating issues, and following up as necessary. Continuous development of advanced knowledge of assigned applications will be vital, utilizing vendor websites, user groups, and training to effectively utilize system capabilities. You will consult on requested configuration changes, partnering with the team to determine the best options for design decisions based on documented requirements, current configuration, and downstream impacts. Additionally, you will document final specifications and configure applications accordingly. Your responsibilities will also include supporting financial systems, including custom integrations and developing or updating existing BI/OTBI Reports in Oracle Cloud ERP. You will analyze the impact of configuration changes from foundational structures to extensions and downstream systems and integrations. Collaboration with offshore technical and middleware teams will be essential, as well as mentoring other team members. Ensuring data integrity and governance by supporting large and complex data imports and extracts will be part of your duties, along with validating accuracy through reporting and queries. You will provide analysis and consultation on the implementation of new software application products or new modules in existing applications, offering advanced technical support for integrations, reports, extensions, and large data imports/extractions. Planning for and supporting migrations, releases, upgrades, and patches while mitigating risks and downstream impacts will be critical. You will engage with Digital and vendors for support as necessary and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing. Collaboration with the HCM support team to manage ERP Oracle Cloud releases will also be part of your role. As a subject matter expert and Finance functional owner for the system, you will keep up to date on application functionality, training, and releases, assisting in resolving user inquiries and creating relevant job aids and communications. Your ability to identify business requirements and map them to system functionality will be key in supporting the standardization of Finance policies, practices, and processes across SMEs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform database queries/extracts using calculations, formulas, and complex commands.
  • Evaluate requirements and specs for development, testing and deployment.
  • Hands-on configuration of application(s), evaluating impact and supporting releases, patches, upgrades, and enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or High School Diploma/GED with four years of relevant work experience.
  • Five years of previous experience in a related field.
  • Preferred: Three years of experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and prior experience across several technologies including Oracle Cloud ERP, OneStream, Blackline, Concur, Coupa, Kyriba, OneSource.
  • Strong understanding of WM's operations and service capabilities or ability to quickly learn.
  • Track record of administrative, upgrading, and enhancing financial solutions.
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders for project success.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex material into simple content.
  • Ability to resolve day-to-day disputes independently using strong problem-solving skills.
  • Track record of relying on facts and data to drive action.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional financial software solutions such as Concur and OneSource.
  • Familiarity with middleware technologies and integration processes.
