As our Palo Alto Firewall Engineer, your focus will be configuring, deploying, and maintaining all Palo Alto Firewall products, Intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), Demarcation/Email Security, and VPN devices & applications. This individual will work and communicate effectively with a highly technical team of Engineers across multiple IT verticals to provide problem resolution, project deliveries, and secure connectivity implementations in accordance with CommScope standards. The successful candidate would have a solid grasp of general networking technologies, including routing (BGP/OSPF/Static), DNS/DHCP, DMZ design, VRFs, Cloud firewall implementations (Azure/GCP/AWS), and network function virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain all Palo Alto Firewall products.
• Manage Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
• Oversee Demarcation/Email Security and VPN devices & applications.
• Collaborate with a technical team of Engineers across multiple IT verticals.
• Provide problem resolution and project deliveries.
• Implement secure connectivity in accordance with CommScope standards.

Requirements

• Five or more years of firewall experience.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and access points.
• In-depth knowledge of generally accepted security methods, concepts, and techniques.
• Understanding of networking protocols and standards, including BGP, OSPF, SNMP, QoS, DNS, etc.
• Experience in packet capture and protocol analysis using tools such as Wireshark and Splunk.
• Capable of implementing roadmap strategies and coordinating work efforts across IT teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to prioritize/implement tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience with Azure firewall/WAF.
