About the position

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, is seeking an Analyst for IT Operations to join our extraordinary teams in Henrico, VA. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our IT services, systems, and infrastructure align with business needs. The Analyst will report directly to the Director of Information Technology and will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support and service delivery of our Hybrid Cloud IT infrastructure. This includes monitoring and responding to IT infrastructure incidents through our incident tracking system, ensuring that all systems are available, performing optimally, and meeting the dynamic requirements of our business solutions. A typical day for the Analyst will involve preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the maintenance of applications and systems, proactively monitoring enterprise systems, and ensuring that backup and retention policies are in place to minimize data loss in case of failures. The Analyst will also establish clear communication channels with customers and cross-functional teams, propose system enhancements, and ensure adherence to budgets and performance requirements. Additionally, the role involves conducting system tests, researching and designing new systems, and maintaining business application systems in accordance with technical specifications. The Analyst will work closely with various teams to gather requirements, prepare detailed program specifications, and coordinate system implementations. Troubleshooting and resolving system problems quickly and satisfactorily is also a key responsibility. The Analyst will collaborate with the security team to define server hardening policies and ensure compliance with industry best practices regarding data integrity and security. This position is essential for maintaining the reliability and performance of our IT operations, contributing to the overall success of Anord Mardix.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operational processes and procedures to ensure all IT services, systems, and infrastructure meet business needs.
  • Monitor and acknowledge IT Infrastructure incidents through the incident tracking system.
  • Proactively monitor systems for availability, capacity, and performance.
  • Participate in the Patch management process, IT Business Continuity, and Disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures for the day-to-day maintenance of applications and systems.
  • Ensure proper backup and retention policies are in place to minimize data loss in case of failures.
  • Establish clear communication channels and feedback mechanisms with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Propose system enhancements (software and hardware updates) to improve performance and reliability.
  • Ensure business applications are performing, scalable, usable, and available by defining help and monitoring processes and driving SLAs.
  • Research, design, code, and test new systems and enhancements in line with IT project deliverables.
  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain business application systems and associated hardware according to technical specifications.
  • Gather requirements from various teams and prepare detailed program specifications for system implementation.
  • Communicate with system users and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system problems quickly and satisfactorily.
  • Perform and track change management and publish performance metrics.
  • Work with the security team to define server hardening policies and ensure OS patching SLA compliance.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data across Hybrid Cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training.
  • Ideally requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.
  • General understanding of system architectural concepts and methodologies.
  • Basics of troubleshooting, log analysis, and data analytics.
  • Collaboration skills and a passion for technical challenges and operations support.
