We are currently seeking an Analyst, IT Operations to join our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth. This position is located in Henrico, VA, and reports to the Director of Information Technology. The Analyst, IT Operations will be responsible for performing operational processes and procedures to ensure that all IT services, systems, and infrastructure meet business needs. This role involves day-to-day operational support and service delivery of the Hybrid Cloud IT infrastructure by monitoring and responding to IT Infrastructure incidents through the incident tracking system. The Analyst will proactively monitor systems for availability, capacity, and performance, participate in the Patch management process, and assist in IT Business Continuity and Disaster recovery planning and testing. Additionally, the role includes computer programming to automate manual IT operations wherever applicable. A typical day for the Analyst includes preparing Standard Operating Procedures for the maintenance of applications and underlying systems, proactively monitoring enterprise systems to ensure they are adequately sized to meet dynamic business requirements, and ensuring proper backup and retention policies are in place to minimize data loss in case of failures. The Analyst will establish clear communication channels and feedback mechanisms with customers, peers, and cross-functional teams, propose system enhancements, and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Furthermore, the Analyst will ensure that business applications are performing, scalable, usable, and available by defining help and monitoring processes, driving SLAs, and conducting system tests. The role also involves researching, designing, coding, and testing new systems and enhancements, installing and maintaining business application systems, and communicating with system users and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system problems efficiently. The Analyst will work with the security team to define server hardening policies and ensure compliance with industry best practices regarding data integrity and security.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain business application systems and associated hardware.
  • Gather requirements from various teams to prepare detailed program specifications and coordinate system implementation.
  • Communicate with system users and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system problems.
  • Perform and track change management and publish performance metrics.
  • Work with the security team to define server hardening policies and ensure compliance with OS patching SLAs.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training.
  • Ideally requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.
  • General understanding of system architectural concepts and methodologies.
  • Basics of Troubleshooting, Log analysis, and data analytics.
  • Collaboration skills and passion for technical challenges and operations support.
