About the position

The position involves managing market settlements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the energy sector. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues, conduct testing for settlement systems, and analyze complex datasets to drive insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics and experience in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily-run activities to ensure timely and accurate market settlements.
• Execute weekly, monthly, and annual settlement tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues and improve processes.
• Investigate and respond to participant inquiries via Microsoft Dynamics.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing for settlement systems.
• Analyze complex datasets using SQL and other tools to drive insights and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FERC, NERC, and SOC1 controls.
• Communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proficiency in querying and analyzing large datasets from relational and non-relational systems (e.g., Oracle, Netezza, SQL Server, MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with SQL, SQL-Plus, PL/SQL, and scripting languages.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics and Azure is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Energy industry experience is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in billing, settlements, or data analytics.
