The Analyst position in Mesh Network Operations at Entergy involves performing a wide variety of data analyses under the general supervision of the Mesh Network Operations leadership and team members. The role is crucial for producing reports and developing processes related to Mesh Network Operations, particularly focusing on the Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) and Distribution Automation (DA) communications network lifecycle stages. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing and tracking financial expenditures within the Mesh Network Operations to ensure compliance with the budget. This includes reporting data to management through various tools such as Cognos, PowerBI, and Excel. In this role, the analyst will collaborate with the Mesh Network Operations team, supply chain, finance, and vendors to gather, track, and report on relevant metrics. The position requires the development of data sources as part of overall metrics development, which includes building charts, graphs, dashboards, and various graphical representations to display data for leadership. The analyst must be proactive and comfortable working with minimal guidance while engaging with all levels of the organization to gather relevant data from various stakeholders. The analyst will conduct complex business and financial analyses based on budget and spending, developing policy recommendations for management based on their findings. They will also be responsible for approving invoices and tracking all expenditures. The role includes defining protocols and requirements for data quality control, ensuring that all analyses and project work adhere to these requirements. The analyst will provide industry expertise and apply best practices to project work based on their experience, coordinating the gathering of information from various departments and sites to prepare trending information and provide recommendations. Additionally, the analyst will identify, analyze, and interpret trends, working closely with project managers, internal stakeholders, and cost analysts to track and monitor partner/project financials. The position also involves resolving problems with internal and external stakeholders, mitigating delays, mediating disputes, and escalating issues as necessary. Staying informed about regulatory or political changes that may impact Entergy's policy decision-making is also a key responsibility.
