About the position

The Analyst position within NBC Sports Decision Sciences focuses on analyzing sports content across various NBCU platforms, including NBC, Peacock, and GOLF Channel. This role is essential for providing actionable insights and performance analysis to support multiple client groups, including Consumer Marketing, Programming, Finance, and Sales. The Analyst will work in a dynamic environment, delivering cross-platform insights that enhance understanding of sports fandom and media consumption.

Responsibilities

• Reporting and analysis responsibilities using local and national TV/Linear audience data across the Sports landscape.
• Collect, analyze and interpret both linear and streaming data for recurring reports and ad hoc requests.
• Bring a fresh perspective to departmental reporting, helping to position analysis creatively and concisely.
• Build and synthesize data into dashboards that measure sports property health.
• Proactively contribute to analysis and creation of projects and presentations.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure uniformity of departmental reporting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to evaluate new technology and systems for workflow modernization.
• Generate ad-hoc analyses to answer critical business questions and identify strategic opportunities.
• Contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in media, Communications, Statistics, Finance or related field.
• Less than 2 years' experience in media research, preferably in Sports and streaming.
• Prior experience with TV/Linear measurement systems (Nielsen: NPower, NNTV) is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in SQL, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, and knowledge of coding languages is a plus.
• Intellectual curiosity, analytical abilities, and a passion for sports and media.
• Self-starter, team player with the ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization.
• Experience with statistical modeling and/or advanced data science techniques is a plus.
