About the position

The Analyst of Onboard Revenue Data and Analytics at Royal Caribbean Group will focus on driving the growth of Shore Excursions (Shorex) revenue and supporting inventory pricing and analysis efforts. This role involves managing and analyzing onboard revenue and Pre-cruise sales data, creating strategies for revenue generation, and providing actionable insights to executive staff. The position requires collaboration with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and support revenue generation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Shorex and PCP in revenue generation by utilizing data and implementing operational and analytical solutions.
  • Manage pricing, inventory, and promotional efforts in multiple online systems to grow onboard revenue.
  • Support internal Shorex and PCP planning processes to address product and business needs.
  • Ensure inventory is up to date and accurate for Shorex.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of pricing changes during frequent PCP online promotions.
  • Collaborate with Shorex and PCP teams to identify opportunities for business improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis needs while supporting various projects.
  • Conduct analyses of business data to evaluate trends and patterns, presenting results appropriately for the audience.
  • Assist with the development of revenue and Shorex forecasts using benchmarking techniques.
  • Transform large data sets into insightful components to develop pricing strategies and drive revenue growth.
  • Represent onboard revenue in discussions with Shared Services departments to gain support for initiatives.
  • Support reporting systems for daily and strategic revenue decisions impacting the company's annual net onboard revenue.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (MBA or MS preferred) with two to three years of related financial and business analysis experience.
  • Familiarity with revenue management, inventory, and pricing concepts.
  • Experience in cruise, casino, hospitality, or a similar industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, VBA, SAS, Essbase, and Hyperion preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a global environment.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects with little direction.
