Are you ready to travel the world? The Ops Products and Strategy team is responsible for developing the tools which support airline operations at United. As such, the team is responsible for standardizing and automating information to provide the context for our operational leaders to make real-time decisions to run a safe, caring, dependable, and efficient airline. The team is responsible for working with operational users to understand the issues they face, define the problem that needs to be solved, and writing the logic that needs to be developed to solve the problem. The analyst works collaboratively with multiple departments to support the goals, objectives, and projects of operational teams. This position is responsible for providing information that supports operations using existing data to evaluate operational performance and communicating results to identify and make recommendations for improvements. The analyst will develop presentations, generate performance reports, and is responsible for supporting the organization with suggestions for new tools and methods of reporting to meet business goals. This self-starting individual will use knowledge of operational performance to create new ideas, take them from concept to deployment and collaborate with various teams. Assist operational users in capturing business requirements and support in communicating final analysis to leadership, and coordinate with IT team to ensure tools meet requirements to support operational needs by helping to plan and conduct quality assurance testing. Help evaluate business processes, identify requirements, suggest areas for improvement by developing functional requirements and user stories. Support network and station operations initiatives aimed at enhancing operational communication to drive efficiency, consistency, and accountability. Support the monitoring of airline performance and assist operational leaders in addressing performance issues by improving operational tools. Coordinate with training and change management teams to help deliver effective communication and training to successfully launch new or updated tools and procedures.
