About the position

The Analyst - Operations Support role at Verizon involves supporting daily Accounts Payable processes, performing analyses, and maintaining documentation to ensure efficient financial operations. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can analyze data, resolve invoice issues, and contribute to process improvements and automation within the finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily Accounts Payable processes by gathering information and performing analyses.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Identify and streamline policies or processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and successful payments while maintaining financial controls.
  • Analyze data results and distribute daily disbursement information.
  • Assist in resolving or escalating invoice problems through the Accounts Payable help desk.
  • Document processes and standards and support system testing as requested.
  • Evaluate changes to Accounts Payable processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Accounts payable and/or general ledger experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics.
  • Experience with SAP.
