About the position

The Accounts Payable Analyst - Operations Support role at Verizon involves supporting daily Accounts Payable processes, ensuring timely payments, analyzing data, and maintaining documentation. The position focuses on streamlining policies and processes to enhance efficiency within the finance team, which is recognized for its accuracy and compliance in financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily Accounts Payable processes by gathering information and performing analyses.
  • Ensure timely and successful payments while maintaining financial controls.
  • Analyze data results and distribute daily disbursement information.
  • Help resolve or escalate invoice problems that arise through the Accounts Payable help desk.
  • Document processes and standards and support system testing as requested.
  • Identify opportunities to further automate processes.
  • Evaluate changes to Accounts Payable processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics.
  • Knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Accounts payable and/or general ledger experience.
  • Experience with SAP.
