About the position

The Analyst - Port Operations Support role at Hyundai GLOVIS America Inc. focuses on managing financial and operational aspects related to port activities. This includes monitoring costs, overseeing accounts payable, conducting audits, and assisting vendors with billing issues. The position is critical for optimizing port operations efficiency and financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Accounts Payable aging and ensure timely payment processing
  • Monitor audit holds and ensure timely resolution
  • Communicate with vendors, Ports, and collaborate with other internal departments to resolve audit holds
  • Manage quarterly fuel and electricity costs, including rate calculations
  • Update rate sheets, LTS, and system codes and audit for accuracy
  • Process manual invoices, audit and reconcile backup data to ensure billing accuracy and processing efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Process financial data for month-end and year-end accrual reporting
  • Submit 'Red Folder' approval requests for late payment approvals
  • Actively participate in vendor meetings and internal operational meetings
  • Respond to inquiries and administrative requests
  • Contribute to Process Improvement Initiative
  • Assist with documentation of processes for future reference and training purposes (SOP's)
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to Management
  • Identify Data Integrity concerns and follow through to resolution
  • Create and maintain new financial reports as needed
  • Develop reporting tools to track Operational efficiencies/deficiencies
  • Oversee coordination of special projects as assigned
  • Present insight to management for decision making and strategic financial planning
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in General Business Administration, Accounting, and/or FP&A
  • Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Data mining and visualization skills
  • Strong financial analytical skills
  • Ability to logically and systematically work through problems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Time Management skills
  • Critical Thinking skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates Degree
  • 2-5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry
