About the position

The Procurement Analyst at Triumph Group is responsible for procuring component parts and assemblies to ensure a seamless production flow while adhering to company standards for quality, delivery, costs, and inventory levels. This role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong business acumen, and excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining effective supplier relationships and optimizing procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supply chain activities with assigned suppliers for the procurement of machined parts and standard hardware.
  • Execute sourcing strategies to maximize quality and service while minimizing costs.
  • Administer proposals and contracts to enhance service and reduce costs.
  • Support procurement goals by issuing RFP/RFQs.
  • Participate in project teams to support operational goals and business needs.
  • Negotiate costs and delivery requirements as a liaison between production and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular supplier reviews and assist with improvement plans for quality, delivery, or cost concerns.
  • Facilitate the procurement process by issuing purchase orders and amendments as per production requirements.
  • Respond to internal schedule changes and communicate these to the supply chain and external suppliers.
  • Schedule regular outreach to suppliers to ensure compliance with delivery schedules.
  • Review data for purchasing metrics to ensure accuracy and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a similar field; or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of Supply Chain or Purchasing experience.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer, Supply Chain Analyst, or similar role.
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain processes, including inventory planning and warehouse management.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Infor).
  • Intermediate Excel experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Aerospace industry or direct materials purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Power BI or data analytics experience.
