The Analyst, Procurement position plays a crucial role in managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process in collaboration with lead category buyers (LCBs). This includes developing requests for proposals, assisting vendors, and creating cost analysis tools to support the procurement team. The Analyst will provide RFP analysis and recommendations to assist the Lead Category Buyer with negotiation strategies and sourcing recommendations. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining tools to track realized savings, project progress, and purchase agreements. The Analyst will lead the management of annual and long-range plans for reviewing product groups, establishing time and savings targets for these activities. They will develop, maintain, and enhance systems and tools that clearly project the financial impact of procurement activities. Identifying gaps and opportunities in supplier proposals related to product cost, freight, and supply chain solutions is a key responsibility. The Analyst will also prepare team members for CMR Phase I, providing necessary documentation and leading CMR Phase II activities, which include developing item information and coordinating RFP tools and communications. In this role, the Analyst will provide timely and accurate assistance to team members, including updating data, developing special reports, and crafting improvements as needed. They will maintain and improve advanced cost analysis files to determine various pricing scenarios, with a focus on evaluation across multiple divisions, product conversions, and freight optimization. The Analyst will also manage the Vendor Involvement Process (VIP) reporting, ensuring data organization and vendor maintenance. They will be responsible for the Agreement process, managing agreement completion, and reporting agreement statistics to drive efficiency and reduce risk. The Analyst will assist the NA Director of Strategic Procurement in preparing reports and presentations on realized savings and enhanced processes for senior leadership. Overall, this position requires a proactive individual who can assist in evaluating and working on projects involving e-procurement and other opportunities, while adhering to the mission and values of Gordon Food Service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process in collaboration with lead category buyers (LCBs).
