About the position

The Analyst, Product and Portfolio Management position at CVS Health is a pivotal role that focuses on understanding and managing enterprise data systems to ensure effective project delivery. The individual in this role will participate actively in Agile scrum activities and project status meetings, contributing to user story discussions alongside technical leads. A key aspect of this position is collaboration; the analyst will work closely with team members to develop business solutions and implement them effectively. A detailed understanding of business portfolio budgets is essential, encompassing both business and IT capital investments as well as operational expenses. The analyst must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to influence stakeholders across various functions and levels within the organization. The role requires ensuring that program management approaches are consistent, measurable, and aligned with corporate standards, as well as adhering to Scrum and Agile best practices. The position demands a proactive approach to tracking and communicating overall team progress, ensuring that initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and meet organizational performance targets. The analyst will oversee Agile processes and promote the use of Agile methodologies to enhance project delivery and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the Enterprise data systems and relevant processes for project delivery.
  • Participate in Agile scrum activities and project status meetings regularly.
  • Engage in user story discussions with technical leads.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop business solutions and implement them effectively.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of business portfolio budgets, including IT capital investments and operational expenses.
  • Communicate progress and status of initiatives to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ensure delivery of initiatives is on time, on budget, and meets performance targets.
  • Oversee Agile processes and promote Agile best practices within product teams.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in executing Data warehousing ETL projects.
  • 1+ years of experience in tracking and communicating overall team progress.
  • Ability to ensure delivery of initiatives on time, on budget, and within performance targets.
  • Experience in managing initiative scope, schedule, budget, quality, and associated metrics according to corporate standards.
  • Direct experience with product teams handling all aspects of solution delivery using Agile methodologies.

  • Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data sets from disparate sources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Health Care/PBM domain experience.
