About the position

The Analyst, Renewable Sustainability Compliance will be part of Phillips 66's Global Renewables Trading group, focusing on ensuring compliance with international environmental laws and regulations related to renewable fuels, feedstocks, and credits. This role involves stakeholder engagement with trade counterparts, industry bodies, and government entities to promote sustainable practices and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with international environmental laws and regulations affecting renewable fuels, feedstocks, and credits.
  • Manage International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) programs and other renewable compliance programs.
  • Engage in discussions on regulatory changes and provide guidance to the trade desk.
  • Coordinate regulatory program compliance with global offices.
  • Prepare for and conduct sustainability audits for Phillips 66.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on renewables initiatives.
  • Implement and manage process improvements and automation projects.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities related to renewable programs.
  • Develop and conduct internal training on sustainability compliance.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 or more years of industry experience.
  • Project origination and development experience.
  • Commercial experience.
  • Familiarity with commodity trading.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a demanding team environment.
  • Self-starter with a desire to grow a business.

  • Knowledge of governmental regulatory programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Direct experience with environmental legal and regulatory programs.
  • Previous experience with renewable fuels and feedstocks.
  • Knowledge of economic value of renewable fuels in the supply chain.
  • Knowledge of US/EU/Canada biofuels directives.
  • Experience in marketing/trading/refinery/blending.
