About the position

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is seeking an Analyst, Research & Insights to join our Business Intelligence team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are passionate about data analysis and its application in the sports and entertainment industry. The Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting various revenue channels by providing analytics, data visualizations, and insights that drive revenue growth. The successful candidate will collaborate with sales, service, and marketing leaders to analyze data and create visualizations that inform strategic decisions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, entertainment marketing, and revenue generation. As part of the Business Intelligence team, the Analyst will be responsible for mining data using SQL and R to extract valuable insights from ticket sales, surveys, and marketing efforts. The role involves creating analyses and dashboards in Tableau to present findings to leadership, highlighting opportunities for business growth. The Analyst will also work closely with other Business Intelligence resources to build dashboards and leverage existing tools to enhance operational processes. Additionally, the Analyst will research innovative ways teams can expand their revenue footprint both in and out of the arena, contributing to the overall success of MSE's business operations. Responsibilities

  • Work with various partners around the organization to drive incremental revenue, improve operational processes, and investigate incremental data and technology that can be used.
  • Mine our data using SQL and R to provide valuable insights on tickets, surveys, and marketing efforts.
  • Assist in creating analyses and dashboards in Tableau to inform leadership as to various opportunities to grow our business.
  • Work with other Business Intelligence resources to build dashboards and leverage tools on hand.
  • Research ways in which teams are growing their footprint both in and out of arena to drive incremental revenue.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other analytics tools.
  • Experience distilling large data sets into useful insights by building consensus with organizational leaders.
  • Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools.
  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and placing pixels is preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in sales operations roles supporting revenue leaders.
  • SQL skills for management of large data sets.
  • Ability to learn quickly while on the job.
  • Organization, punctuality, and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and placing pixels is preferred.
