About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst at Metrocare Services plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) staff. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with fiscal initiatives and performance, which is essential for maintaining or enhancing funding to improve services for clients with developmental or mental health challenges. The analyst will utilize data analytics tools to analyze revenue cycle metrics and financial data, generate reports, and collaborate with various departments to achieve organizational financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed status logs.
  • Provide system support for internal operational users of the EHR software system.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to issues, supporting users as needed.
  • Analyze the system for areas of improved efficiency.
  • Identify and implement enhancements in support of Operations.
  • Work with leadership to prioritize issues and enhancement requests.
  • Handle RCM issues and implement fixes.
  • Ensure all statements, calls, and refunds are current.
  • Communicate effectively with internal Operations teams and follow up as needed.
  • Oversee and support the Medical Receptionist managing patient calls and troubleshooting.
  • Follow up on issues with patients regarding pending claims or issues to resolve.
  • Manage all billing-related issues and follow up until fixes are implemented.
  • Perform Finance tasks related to Clinical Collections/Payments.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to analyze revenue cycle metrics and financial data.
  • Generate reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement in the revenue cycle.
  • Collaborate with finance, coding, billing, and other departments to achieve organizational financial goals.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding revenue cycle matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of equivalent experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 7+ years of Revenue Cycle Experience (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience with EHR system (preferred).
  • 2+ years of medical coding experience (preferred).
  • Long Term Care experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Third Party Payers.
  • Knowledge of National Universal (NUCC) and ANSI billing standards and legal standards concerning billing and collection (preferred).
