About the position

The Revenue Integrity Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the financial performance of Baptist Memorial Health by ensuring accurate charge processes and compliance with billing regulations. This position involves collaboration across various departments to implement workflows that support revenue recovery and claim acceleration, while maintaining high standards of service and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Work throughout the organization with various departments to implement newly established workflows and procedures for accurate charge processes.
• Jointly own assigned account and claim edit work queues, coordinating with clinical departments to ensure correct coding, billing, payment, and charge captures.
• Act as a resource and liaison for clinical charging and financial areas regarding coding and charge capture compliance based on regulatory guidelines.
• Review patient medical records for charge capture and resolve billing edits by validating clinical documentation for missing charges.
• Identify opportunities for improvement to enhance service and customer satisfaction.
• Perform related accountabilities and responsibilities as required or directed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years in the healthcare industry with a working knowledge of hospital and/or physician revenue cycle functions.
• Associate Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory IPPS/OPPS guidelines and requirements.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
• Understanding of different types of clinical settings and facility/professional billing claim forms.

Nice-to-haves

• A minimum of 6 years in the healthcare industry with a working knowledge of hospital and/or physician revenue cycle functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or Nursing.
• Knowledge of medical coding rules and regulations.
