About the position

The Revenue Integrity Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the financial performance of clinical areas by focusing on revenue recovery and claim acceleration. This position requires a deep understanding of Medicare Integrated Outpatient Code Editor (I/OCE), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC), and related coding practices. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with billing practices and improve processes for better patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various departments to implement new workflows and procedures for accurate charge processes.
  • Manage assigned account and claim edit work queues, ensuring correct coding, billing, payment, and charge captures.
  • Act as a resource and liaison for clinical charging and financial areas regarding coding and charge capture compliance.
  • Review patient medical records to resolve billing edits and validate missing charges based on clinical documentation.
  • Demonstrate Service First characteristics and set an example for department personnel.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to enhance service and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in the healthcare industry with knowledge of hospital and/or physician revenue cycle functions.
  • Associate Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory guidelines; nThrive Knowledge Source application; Microsoft Office products; and medical coding rules.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 6 years in the healthcare industry with a deeper understanding of revenue cycle functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or Nursing.
