About the position

The Analyst-Revenue Scheduling position at Baptist Memorial Health Care is designed to coordinate with various stakeholders, including physicians, physician office staff, ancillary departments, and surgery staff, to create a patient-focused environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of surgery case scheduling by adhering to established procedures and protocols. The Analyst will perform clerical support activities and other assigned duties to facilitate efficient operations within the operating room department. In this role, the Analyst will be responsible for managing patient flow by following the established scheduling procedures. This includes utilizing hospital information and telecommunication systems to maintain accurate records, correspondence, and reports, which are essential for timely communication and documentation. The Analyst will also be expected to communicate effectively with staff and customers, ensuring that information is accurately conveyed and recorded. Additionally, the Analyst will maintain files, records, supplies, and equipment in an organized manner to support continuous workflow. Participation in ongoing educational activities is encouraged to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position. The Analyst will also be tasked with completing assigned goals to contribute to the overall efficiency of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Provides coordination of patient flow by following established scheduling procedures and protocols.
  • Competently uses the hospital information and telecommunication systems to maintain records, correspondence, and reports to facilitate timely communication and accurate documentation.
  • Communicates with staff and customers by maintaining, receiving, conveying and recording information accurately.
  • Maintains files, records, supplies and equipment in an accessible order and current condition to assure continuous workflow.
  • Participates in ongoing educational activities.
  • Completes assigned goals.

Requirements

  • Preferred: Additional business/college courses preferred.
  • Minimum: Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
  • Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Minimum: Ability to use personal computer programs, i.e. windows, excel, access.
