About the position

The successful candidate will conduct activities required to assign new ratings for U.S. asset-backed securities (ABS) transactions and other relevant rating actions. This role emphasizes teamwork, strong work ethics, analytical skills, and attention to detail, while also requiring effective communication and presentation skills to interact with various professionals and executives. The position offers opportunities to develop structured finance experience in a client-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of credit & legal aspects of structured finance transactions across various asset-backed asset classes.
• Perform transaction analysis including analysis of collateral, deal structure, and legal issues.
• Prepare the rating committee package and make regular presentations to rating committee voters.
• Draft press releases for all ratings actions.
• Focus on key credit issues during the new issue rating process.
• Review results of banker cash flow models and provide feedback on structural aspects of transactions.
