About the position

The Analyst-Senior position at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan involves identifying and analyzing operational data to develop insights that support business objectives. The role focuses on improving workflows and business processes to enhance customer service, reduce operational costs, and improve overall quality. The analyst will lead projects, document and communicate project milestones, and ensure compliance with corporate policies. Additionally, the position includes providing support to internal departments and external entities, as well as creating reports and presentations to communicate operational data and proposed changes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze operational data to develop insights in support of business objectives.
• Develop and improve workflows and business processes to enhance customer service and reduce operational costs.
• Analyze business problems and develop recommendations for solutions.
• Lead the development and implementation of projects and teams to achieve desired results.
• Document and communicate project concepts, milestones, and results.
• Recommend and assist with implementing standard policies and procedures.
• Ensure corporate compliance is communicated, implemented, and monitored.
• Participate in systems testing and develop procedures/controls for process improvement.
• Provide support to internal departments and external entities by answering questions and supplying information.
• Create and present reports and presentations to display operational data and proposed business changes.

Requirements

• Four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Business Intelligence Developer, Software Developer, or related role.
• Two (2) years of experience utilizing SQL to query datasets and perform analytics.
• Two (2) years of experience utilizing Tableau to create/develop reporting.
• Two (2) years of experience utilizing SparkSQL to query datasets and perform analytics.
• Experience with SSIS and SSRS.
• Experience with AWS.
