The search engine optimization (SEO) analyst at KINESSO is a pivotal role focused on enhancing the visibility of clients in organic search results. This position requires a proactive approach to researching and recommending effective SEO tactics tailored for KINESSO's diverse enterprise client roster. The SEO analyst will engage in continuous learning about the evolving best practices in content strategy, technical analysis, and digital experience optimization. Responsibilities include conducting thorough research, testing new tools, and analyzing ranking factors to ensure optimal performance in search engine results. In this role, the SEO analyst will be responsible for researching keyword recommendations based on various factors such as trends, intent, and seasonality. The analyst will compile detailed reports utilizing advanced Excel spreadsheet formulas and perform comprehensive SEO audits, including content, competitive, technical, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) audits. The position also involves pulling data from multiple analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and SEMRush, to evaluate website authority and link equity effectively. Additionally, the SEO analyst will create visual and semantic sitemaps, manage tasks efficiently using project management tools like Asana, and support business development and account teams in SEO sales and presentations. A strong understanding of current SEO tools and a commitment to staying updated on industry changes are essential for success in this role. The analyst will also need to grasp concepts related to crawlability and indexability, ensuring that clients' websites are optimized for search engines.

Responsibilities

  • Research keyword recommendations based on a variety of factors (trends, intent, seasonality, etc.)
  • Compile reports with a solid understanding of Excel spreadsheet formulas
  • Perform various SEO audits (content, competitive, technical, and CRO)
  • Pull data from multiple platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google trends, Google Search Console, BrightEdge, Searchmetrics, SEMRush, Botify, DeepCrawl, Ahrefs, etc.)
  • Understand and evaluate website authority and link equity
  • Create visual and semantic sitemaps
  • Work efficiently through task lists and utilize project management tools (e.g., Asana)
  • Support business development and account teams as needed in SEO sales and presentations (keyword research, SEO audits, etc.)
  • Understand current SEO toolset and proactively educate yourself on relevant industry updates
  • Understand crawlability and indexability.

Requirements

  • Ample experience in SEO or digital marketing OR with website strategy and/or within an agency environment
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent research and writing skills with an attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and handle other duties as assigned
  • Ability to explain why and when certain search results appear for various queries
  • Comprehension of content categorization, technical optimization, and link equity concepts
  • Understanding of basic web development technologies including HTML and CSS
