About the position

The Analyst / Sr Analyst, IT Digital Product Owner role at American Airlines is focused on managing the implementation and maintenance of digital analytics tools to enhance the digital customer experience. This position is part of the Data Analytics Implementation Team within the Customer Intelligence Division, where the successful candidate will drive strategies, conduct analyses, and present findings to executive stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection and improve customer interactions across various digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Tag Management System (Tealium), and Data Collection Framework) to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Collaborate with Digital Customer Experience Product Owners and technology teams to define and implement requirements for reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and data validation, identify data collection issues, and perform duties of Adobe Analytics administrator.
  • Identify opportunities for analysis and testing on the site to increase conversion or drive revenue improvement; communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Establish best practices for analyzing user behavior and interpreting data.
  • Develop and execute data-driven customer segmentation and personalization strategies.
  • Help others design, analyze, and communicate the results of their experiments.
  • Build a culture of experimentation by running successful tests and spreading interest in a test-and-learn culture.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop viable solutions.
  • Ensure the experimentation program is scalable, repeatable, effective, and meets stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal analytics implementation team to develop reporting strategies.
  • Define best practice approaches for successful digital experimentation and personalization programs.
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate testing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Python, R or other relevant modern programming languages.
  • Experience with digital experimentation and causal inference.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience with Adobe products or similar testing tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • MS in Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with marketing technology tools including Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target.
  • Experience with Agile development and associated ceremonies.
