About the position

The Security & Regulatory Technical Writer at Entergy is responsible for documenting security practices to ensure compliance with various regulatory directives, including NERC, CIP, NRC, SOX, and HIPAA. This role involves presenting and training on security programs and processes to protect Entergy's critical systems and assets, while also engaging with industry peers and information sharing centers. The position requires operational expertise in Information Security, Cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes change management methodology to implement documentation changes across business units.
  • Conducts necessary reviews with program and process champions or owners.
  • Participates in corrective action program activities, including self-assessments and benchmarking.
  • Exhibits strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations such as NERC CIP, SOX, and HIPAA, and evaluates data for compliance and process improvement.
  • Proposes, develops, and writes documentation changes to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Serves as a shared resource for documentation and training needs.
  • Develops presentations and training materials as required.
  • Exhibits subject matter expertise in compliance and cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, internal audit, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of regulatory compliance and auditing experience related to Information Security.
  • Strong communication and writing skills with internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in cybersecurity operations and working with various resources.
  • Familiarity with operations playbooks and performance measures.
  • Experience with data analysis and validation in regulated utilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • ISACA certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA preferred.
