About the position

The Inventory Analyst role at West Elm is integral to the Inventory Planning organization, focusing on strategic inventory management to drive sales and meet financial targets. This position involves analyzing inventory and pricing projects, maintaining data integrity, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in inventory availability by partnering with Distribution Center Operations to resolve inventory issues.
• Manage data uploads to efficiently and accurately maintain pricing and reduce pricing errors.
• Recommend effective processes and procedures to improve workflow, profitability, efficiency, and transparency.
• Coordinate communication around pricing and effective date changes to stakeholders.
• Provide analytical support for projects, process improvements, and new business opportunities.
• Partner with Inventory Management, Merchandising and Pricing teams to investigate opportunities and develop solutions for pricing maintenance.
• Operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
• Transport materials and equipment and lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in operations, inventory management, merchandising, or sourcing.
• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Time management and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Suite.
• College degree preferred.
