About the position

The Treasury Operations Analyst will support a wide range of Treasury Operations functions for the insurance business at Global Atlantic Financial Group. This role is critical in managing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment across multiple legal entities, ensuring that the existing functions are enhanced to meet the rapidly changing needs of the business. The successful candidate will be located in the Des Moines, IA office and will work on an in-office hybrid schedule. Key responsibilities include performing daily liquidity management processes that support operations and investment activity. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders such as banks, the Global Atlantic Investment Team, Third Party Administrators (TPA), Risk Management, and Accounts Payable. The Analyst will also conduct daily reviews of forecast items, working closely with internal teams to address any changes or updates that could impact liquidity reporting. In addition to these tasks, the Analyst will oversee and support core daily activities, including accounting, cash reconciliations, operational reporting, and bank account management. The role requires reviewing and developing analyses, trending reports, and identifying deviations from the norm. Furthermore, the Analyst will participate in company-wide initiatives and projects aimed at improving processes and infrastructure, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Treasury Operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily liquidity management processes supporting operations and investment activity by collaborating with Banks, Global Atlantic's Investment Team, Third Party Administrators (TPA), Risk Management, and Accounts Payable.
  • Conduct daily reviews of forecast items, working closely with internal teams on changes or updates that could impact liquidity reporting.
  • Oversee and support core daily activities including accounting, cash reconciliations, operational reporting, and bank account management.
  • Review and develop analyses, trending reports, and identify deviations from the norm.
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives/projects to improve processes and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a Treasury or Financial Operations Role.
  • Knowledge of treasury systems (i.e. treasury workstations, bank web portals) is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is strongly required.
  • Proactively addresses issues that may impact the outcome of initiatives.
  • Prior experience supporting financial controls in compliance with SOX is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to identify, communicate, and resolve key issues.
  • Positive attitude even when faced with difficult obstacles, issues, or challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
